Garage Cleanouts in Conyers, GA

We empty garages that have turned into storage rooms. Our crew sorts what comes out by material, sends usable items and scrap metal where they belong, loads the rest, and leaves you a swept floor with room for the car again.

A garage cleanout, done with some care

A garage collects everything that has nowhere else to go: the broken mower, a stack of paint cans, boxes from the last move, a workbench nobody uses. Clearing it yourself means weekends of lifting and several trips to the landfill. We do the lifting, the loading and the hauling in one visit.

What sets a good cleanout apart is how the pile gets sorted. Steel shelving and old bikes are scrap metal, not trash. A solid wood cabinet can be donated, while a particleboard one usually cannot. Cardboard that has sat through a few humid Georgia summers is often too soft to recycle. We look at each kind of material and send it to the right place, and we tell you plainly what that means for your load.

You decide what stays. We can clear the whole space or work around the items you are keeping, and we can bring furniture removal or appliance removal into the same trip if the garage holds an old sofa or a dead chest freezer.

What we do in a garage cleanout

Separating by material
Metal, wood, cardboard, plastic and electronics are split up as we load. Scrap metal heads to recyclers, and items in good condition go to donation when a charity accepts them.
Heavy, bulky pieces
Workbenches, gun safes, old freezers, riding mowers and steel cabinets. Our dollies and straps let us move them without dragging them over your driveway.
Shelves and fixtures you no longer want
Freestanding shelving, pegboard and loose racks come down and leave with the load. Anything screwed to the wall we discuss with you before touching it.
Outdoor and yard equipment
Old grills, rusty tools, hoses, broken patio chairs and kids' bikes all go. Mowers and gas-powered gear need the fuel drained first, and we will walk you through it on the phone.
A swept floor to finish
When everything is out, we sweep so you can see bare concrete and decide what comes back in.

When a garage cleanout makes sense

  • Your car is parked outside

A garage built for cars that holds none is not doing its job. The car sits out in the weather while boxes stay dry indoors.

  • Sagging, musty boxes

Cardboard soaks up moisture, goes soft and grows mildew. After that, what is inside is in danger and the boxes start attracting pests.

  • Evidence of pests

Droppings, gnawed paper or nests tucked behind stacks mean rodents or roaches have moved in. Removing the clutter removes their cover.

  • Paint and chemicals are stacking up

Partial cans, pool chemicals and motor oil pile up over time. Sort them out before a container rusts through or starts leaking.

  • A move or sale is coming

A cleared garage shows better and lightens the move. Clearing it once beats packing and hauling things you no longer want.

How the day goes

  1. 1

A free look at the garage

You call, and we set a time to come see the space. We walk through it with you, note what stays and what goes, and give you the price before any work starts.

  2. 2

    Marking the keepers

On the day, we confirm which items stay. Tape, a tarp or a cleared corner works fine, whatever makes it obvious to the crew.

  3. 3

    Sorting and loading

We carry everything out, sort it by material in the driveway and load the truck. Donation items and scrap metal are kept apart from general waste.

  4. 4

    Sweep and final walk-through

We sweep the floor and walk the garage with you so you can confirm nothing you wanted went on the truck.

What sets the price of a garage cleanout

You get upfront pricing with no hidden fees at the free on-site estimate, before anything is lifted. The price mostly tracks how much truck space your things fill, with a few adjustments for the work involved.

How much there is
A one-car garage with a handful of items is nothing like a two-car garage stacked to the ceiling. The amount of stuff matters more than anything else.
Weight and what it is made of
Heavy loads like concrete pavers, tile, shingles or wet drywall cost more to dispose of than the same space full of light boxes.
Items with disposal rules
Refrigerators, freezers, tires and mattresses may have their own disposal rules. We note them at the estimate so they are in the price from the beginning.
Reaching the items
A garage that opens right onto the driveway loads fast. Things stored in the attic above the garage or in a back-yard shed take longer.

Common garage cleanout questions

Something not covered here? (404) 777-5149

Can you take old paint, oil and chemicals?

Some, not all. Wet paint, pesticides, pool chemicals and fuel count as hazardous and cannot ride in our general load. We will flag them at the estimate and explain where you can drop them off. Latex paint that has dried completely is often fine, so ask about yours.

Should I sort things before you come?

No. Just show us what you want to keep. Sorting by material as we load is part of what we do.

Where does everything go after you haul it?

Furniture, tools and household goods that are still usable go to donation when a charity takes them. Metal goes to scrap recyclers. Anything that cannot be reused or recycled goes to the landfill.

Will you remove shelving or a workbench fastened to the wall?

In many cases, yes. We check how it is attached at the estimate. If taking it down would damage the wall or involves wiring, we tell you up front instead of discovering it mid-job.

Do I need to be there for the cleanout?

We prefer you be there for the estimate and the start of the job to confirm what stays. After that, many customers leave the garage open and return for a final walk-through.
